Ha ha ha...PUNNY!

Sooo....yes, I do finally have that punny card to share with you. :)

I started it a few weeks ago, and just finally sat down to finish it!  I couldn't decide whether to go super-simple, or add just a little more and still keep the "CAS" look. I decided on the latter - and really like it! :)

I have two girls, no boys. Of all my 10 neices and nephews, I have only TWO nephews! But, I liked this set anyways. ;-) A good friend knew this, and gave me the set for my birthday Christmas birthday...sorry, I can't remember now! lol  (My birthday is only 4 days before Christmas, so sometimes I get mixed up.)

Anywho...I'm finally ready to share it:
"I Dig You"
AACCCK! Love it. Sorry, I just do. :)

The base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I then added some texture (using Big Shot) to our brushed silver cardstock to make it look like the diamond plating on "tool/construction" type stuff.

In the loader bucket, you'll see some hearts from the Heart to Heart punch, the top one on a dimensional. :)  The sentiment "I Dig You" is punched out with our Word Window punch and mounted on a Modern Label punch in black. See those itty-bitty brads? LOVE EM!! They're a new item from the IB & Catalog this year...mini brads!

I'll be adding this to my Etsy Shop today...a great Valentine's card to purchase!

Well, what do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

SALE-A-BRATE!!

I realize it's been a little lonely here around the old blogeroo.

Remember this post here? What was ONE day off from school, turned into a whole WEEK!!  No craftin' that week, let me tell ya. :)  It was really nice though...playing in the snow, playing games in the house, stayin' in our jammies a little longer in the mornings...spending time with my girls.

At the end of that week, I forced myself into stamping (ya gotta do whatcha gotta do - wink), and started working on my Sale-A-Bration party scheduled for the next Thursday (26th). Making new samples EVERY day, figuring out the free M&T's, the workshop "wows", etc.

What's Sale-A-Bration, you ask?  Only the best time of the year to order Stampin' Up. ;-)

Did you know you can order online from me ANYTIME? 24/7??  Yup. Go HERE to stock up on your products and earn your freebies! :)

I hope to be back soon with a project to share.  I made a few (um, 27) during that week...a few which I can share here. :)  I *might* just have to share the punny card-in-the-works mentioned HERE first though. ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

SNOW DAY!

I thought I'd share the finished card with you today, but yesterday school was off for MLK Day, and we got lots of snow, too! :)  The girls were outside nearly all day and I took the chance to catch up on some bookwork, as well as do some shoveling outside. ;-) Thus...no crafting took place, thus...no finished card.

More snow overnight, and we woke to this sight this morning:

No school today...SNOW DAY!!

With MORE expected, along with winds, I have a feeling we'll be at home again tomorrow.

Sooooo...we shall see about crafting.

I see more shoveling in my future, for sure.  You'd think I could manage to fit in a little crafting somewhere, right?  I sure hope so!  :-)

But first, a little sustenance....

It's been a LONG time since I've made waffles...mom suggested it on the phone (and the girls must've overheard)...

It's what's for breakfast. ;-)
(Oh, and scrambled eggs for protein - can't forget that!)

The delight from my kids was worth it.

What's your favorite thing to do on a SNOW DAY?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

Just My "Type"

YAY!  I finally got to make a card last week. Sooooo glad! :)
It's very simple and to-the-point. Very punny, actually. ;-)

I used a new set from the Occasions Mini catalog (started on 1/4/2012)!
It's called "You're My Type," and it was love at first sight. :)

I stamped the typewriter on our Whisper White cardstock with Black Stazon ink. Due to the solid nature of the image, it took me..ahem...a few tries to get it just right. ;-)

Then, I inked up the sentiment with Basic Grey ink, because I wanted it to be slightly lighter than the black of the typewriter.

The heart is punched out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock with our Heart to Heart punch, and up on dimensional for a little something extra. :)

I'm adding it to my Etsy Shop today...so be sure to stop by if you're needing a card for someone - I've got Valentine's cards, as well as many other occasions too! :)

Feels good to be creating again, and I hope to be back tomorrow with another "punny" card (from a different set). It's halfway done - hoping to finish it today - yay! :)

Oh, by the way...you can go here to see the Occasions Mini catalog. Ordering through me online is available 24-7!

Well, what do you think? I'd love to hear from ya. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

So Here I Sit...

Anyone ever have trouble getting back into the swing of things?
That's me.

Don't get me wrong...everything else is going just fine...but the crafting mojo?
Nope. Nada. Zilch.
Until today.

The crafting bug hit me. I was excited to craft!
Unfortunately, I was in a quandry.
Clean the kitchen or stamp?

**sigh**

I knew if I crafted first, the cleaning most likely wouldn't get done.  We're moving this Summer, so I have this goal of organizing room by room - one a week. Since it's Thursday, I don't have much time left to accomplish this week's goal.  Sooo...I made the "right" choice, and picked up messes around here. Kitchen stuff, clutter stuff. Baby steps. I *did* get a room done last week, and there's still tomorrow! ;-)

Nevermind the fact that the crafting bug hasn't hit in...what feels like forever.

After cleaning, lunch, and snuggling with my daughter while watching a few stampin' videos, naptime came (a little late)...and my I found my crafting bug had disappeared!

So here I sit, mounting stamp sets. Hoping to feel inspiration, but knowing I have no time left today to create.

What about you??

Do you have something you enjoy, but have trouble fitting into your schedule or feeling the "mojo" with?  I'd love to hear from you! Suggestions are welcome, too! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

Multi Occasion Thanks

I've been procrastinating.

I wonder if any other cardmakers suffer from this affliction. Since my birthday is a few days before Christmas, I like to send out thank you cards for both my birthday and Christmas at the same time. Sooo...I waited until Christmas was over. :)

I had the girls make and write in theirs...they finished last week.

I, on the other hand...I put too much pressure on myself to create this fabulous card that's simple enough to make multiple copies of, yet is still nice. COULD NOT get going on it. Since everyone knows I make my own cards, I have high expectations of myself and get overwhelmed trying to create this great card. Is that weird?  Anyways, it makes the process take much longer than it should. Sometimes (shhhh...don't tell), I wish I could just buy a set of thank-you's. It would be MUCH easier. But I just can't. ;-)

Well, after trying a few things, I finally figured out one I liked. It's simple, to-the-point, yet a little elegant too. Love that it could work for multiple occasions!

Warning: Poor picture quality - took in the evening before running to the Post Office. ;-)

It's a smaller sized card...3.5" x 4.25". I think. :)

Simple, yet stated.

I embossed the whisper white cardstock with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and my Big Shot.  Stamped the "thank you" from an old Hostess set (LOVE this thank you!)...and that's it! :)

Well, what do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)
