Miss Being With You...

Here's another card I made for display at my Annual Party in October...
I used the same stamp set as in yesterday's post.

Watercoloring is one of my most favorite cardmaking techniques. So I *reeeally* wanted the For The Birds stamp set. It just begs me to be colored! :)

This is a more Fall-ish (yup, I officially declare it a word) card than yesterday's...I wanted to use the Orchard Harvest designer paper from the Holiday catalog - LOVE that paper!

LOTS on this card!
Cardbase is Early Espresso. Next layer is Naturals Ivory - I find it a little more forgiving for watercoloring. :) At the bottom you see the Orchard Harvest dsp (as noted earlier), and between the two - a strip of More Mustard punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. Topped with Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon and 1/8" Early Espresso ribbon, tied together with Linen Thread. The tag is cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits die.

WHEW! Oops - forgot one more thing...it's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure I colored this with our Aquapainter, and assorted SU ink pad lids. :)

Well, what do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)

Engaged!!

A good friend of mine is recently engaged to be married, and I am soooo excited for her!

Of course I absolutely HAD to create a card for the occasion. :)

I wanted to use the new "Watercolor Trio" set from the Summer Mini, and also incorporate the wedding colors. All she said at this point are a brown and turquoise/teal.

FYI: I'm not thrilled at the finished product, but there are things I love about it. :)

I think what's bothering me is where the main image is situated, but I really had trouble placing it! lol

Tempting Turquoise cardstock is embossed with the BG stamp "Pretty Petals," using Chocolate Chip craft ink and clear embossing powder.  Main image is also embossed with same colors.  The {friend to friend} is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

LOVE the embossing, love the colors, love the lucious satin ribbon! :)  In fact, here's a close-up of the embossing:

Well, what do you think?

Whoooo Loves You?

I DO! :)

Thank you so much for your continuing interest!
I'm excited that we've made a milestone -- 10,000 hits!
It doesn't seem a lot, but since I just started in September,
to me it means I'm only just beginning,
and it also means someone cares! :)

To say "thank you," I'll be offering Blog Candy, so stay tuned! :)

Here's another card using new items!
I used Mr. Owl from the stamp set "Fox & Friends"
(Occasions Mini in sidebar)
...and look at the super-cute new border punch!!
(Sale-A-Bration in sidebar)

I'm thrilled with how it turned out...but I'm having a little trouble deciding on the heart part.
Could you help me?  Pay close attention... ;-)

Gettin' Punchy!

Here's a card I recently made that I just *LOVE*!!
I can see myself making a TON of them!  :)

I just love finding new ways to use things. This is one case where the phrase I grew up with: "use things for their intended purpose" does NOT apply! lol

If you click on the Holiday Mini catalog on my sidebar, you'll see what I mean.  Go to page 24-25. It's an ornament punch made to coordinate with the new Christmas set: "Delightful Decorations"!  I saw this collaboration and said...I want it! :)

ANYWHO....I made this punch to be a vase for these beautiful flowers from the stamp set "Pocket Silhouettes".  The stamp was colored with my Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry markers. I also sponged the edges of the vase and card base for depth, and popped the vase up on dimensionals.

Well, what do you think?

The Small Print (All Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Paper: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White cardstocks
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Olive & Razzleberry markers, Stampin Sponges, Ornament Punch, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! :)

For All You Do...A Gift Set

I made a gift set this summer for a Stampin' friend of mine, a customer-turned-friend...

She's a real sweetheart of a gal, more than I could ever ask for.
I'm so thankful God brought her into my life!

The stamp set I used here is Stampin' Up's "For All You Do."
The colors are from the Designer Paper that I fell in love with the minute I saw it: Cottage Wall.

Here's the inside view of the notecard set with folder & matching pen:

Wonderful You

Another one of those simple cards made recently....
Seriously. Wonderfully, SIMPLE. Yet it makes a nice statement.

PERFECT for a guy! :)

Well, it could be for a gal too...but for some reason, this card screams "guy".

Maybe because it says "For My Wonderful Brother"
Hmmm...yeah, that could be it. ;-)

I made this card for another brother (yes, I have 2), because, well...sometimes I just like to send someone a card!  You don't need to know all the deets, mostly because mentioning stuff like this is probably embarassing enough to them, lol. :)

Anyways...here it is! A clean and simple card for you to try out:

The Small Print (All Stampin Up!)
Stamps: Wonderful Favorites
Paper: Garden Green, Whisper White, Garden Green DSP
Ink: Garden Green, Basic Black
Accessories: Lg. star punch, Silver brad, Dimensionals, Stampamajig

NOTE: Using the "Wonderful Favorites" set is so fun - there are so many options! It comes with two big words: "Wonderful" & "Favorite"....then there are a bunch of little stamps you can add to make it say what you want to! :) The stampamajig (yes, that's the real name) makes it possible to align them whichever way you'd like! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! :)
