Cake, Anyone?

With my youngest turning 4 this week, I found myself drawn to birthday-ish stamps.  Decided to make a card with a cute new set, and some yummy new paper, too! :)

It's called "Birthday Bakery" and I had such fun!  Found that with this image, I'd better decide on the paper I was going to use, first...because that would determine how I colored the image...

I really think the picture doesn't do it justice. :(  So hard to get the right feel of the card!  Took a few more pictures to show it's yumminess....first, a sideview...notice anything?

And a closeup....

NOW, do you see the yumminess?  LOVE it! :)

Watercolored the images with my blender pen, and the top of my ink pads...then applied dazzling diamonds glitter in tiny little spots on main image. Decided that wasn't enough, I was gonna spruce up the (already cute) designer paper!  Added dazzling diamonds on some of the lines...yummy, isn't it?!

Oh, and there are some great sentiments that come with this set...
"if you are what you eat, eat something cute!"
"this is no day for just a sliver!"

Well, we all know what I think (lol)...what do YOU think?

  1. Cute - and you are right about choosing the paper first! I would have done it the other way and had a bland card because I wouldn't have found the right paper! Is that going into your Etsy store? Thanks for blessing my day. :)
