A Cuppa Joe

More and more, I find myself gravitating towards coffee.

I love the smell of it brewing, and the taste? Well...let's just say it's acquired - I like a little coffee with my creamer, lol. ;-)  My fave is probably Fat Free French Vanilla (not a whole lot of FF flavors out there to choose from).

There's something about sitting with a good friend over a cup of coffee (or tea).  Which is the main reason I fell in love with this new set, called "Morning Cup."

There's this friend whom I've been friends with forevah (well, since like 7th grade...so that makes it, ummm...20 years? Wow).  We live across the country from each other, and I often wish we could sit together with a good cuppa, and visit.  Thinking about that (as well as her gift ) led me to make this card for her:

Well, this isn't exactly a cuppa, more like a potta, lol! :)

Goodness, she might not even like coffee, but she could have tea, or hot chocolate, or whatever, right?

I actually had the "happy birthday" tag hanging from the black bow, but it looked ridiculous. Everywhere I moved it, it just didn't look right. :(  So...I stuck it under the coffee pot.  It still doesn't seem quite right, but that's ok.  Sometimes, you just have to finish & walk away or you'll drive yourself crazy! lol

Well, what do you think?

  2. This card is so soft and sweet! Thanks for blessing my day!

  3. I love your card! Just call your friend and ask her to have a "cuppa" with you as you are talking! I do that with my mom.

  4. I'm a coffee person too. Just plain and black. The hotter the better. At the end of a day or sitting with a good friend, it's just the pause that puts everything together. Thanks for sharing your little story about your friend and your love of this set. Your card is gorgeous and she'll lot it!

  5. I have never been able to acquire the taste for coffee as a drink- love anything mocha (go figure!) Love your card - the sentiment looks great where it is! I am sure that your friend will be thrilled that you thought of her in this special way. Thanks for the inspiration- God Bless!

  6. Very cute card, CAS and the sentiment is fine, it's looks great. Great color also, very relaxing as you sit with your coffee.

Go ahead...make my day! :)
