A Cuppa Joe

More and more, I find myself gravitating towards coffee.

I love the smell of it brewing, and the taste? Well...let's just say it's acquired - I like a little coffee with my creamer, lol. ;-)  My fave is probably Fat Free French Vanilla (not a whole lot of FF flavors out there to choose from).

There's something about sitting with a good friend over a cup of coffee (or tea).  Which is the main reason I fell in love with this new set, called "Morning Cup."

There's this friend whom I've been friends with forevah (well, since like 7th grade...so that makes it, ummm...20 years? Wow).  We live across the country from each other, and I often wish we could sit together with a good cuppa, and visit.  Thinking about that (as well as her gift ) led me to make this card for her:

Well, this isn't exactly a cuppa, more like a potta, lol! :)

Goodness, she might not even like coffee, but she could have tea, or hot chocolate, or whatever, right?

I actually had the "happy birthday" tag hanging from the black bow, but it looked ridiculous. Everywhere I moved it, it just didn't look right. :(  So...I stuck it under the coffee pot.  It still doesn't seem quite right, but that's ok.  Sometimes, you just have to finish & walk away or you'll drive yourself crazy! lol

Well, what do you think?

  3. I love your card! Just call your friend and ask her to have a "cuppa" with you as you are talking! I do that with my mom.

  4. I'm a coffee person too. Just plain and black. The hotter the better. At the end of a day or sitting with a good friend, it's just the pause that puts everything together. Thanks for sharing your little story about your friend and your love of this set. Your card is gorgeous and she'll lot it!
